I  create traditional back of book indexes and Word embedded indexes for scholarly books in the humanities and social sciences that explore how our minds work, how we navigate the world,  ideas that can instigate change or involve making meaning through sight and sound such as music, the visual arts, film, fashion, and textiles. Trade publications on the intersection of art and science, current affairs, true crime, feminism, detailed investigations of a narrow topic and biographies, especially those of women are also of particular interest to me.

My clients include authors, publishers and academic presses from around the world and first-time authors appreciate my explanation of the process. I am experienced with Oxford University Press’s multiple format (MUFO) indexing and Cambridge University Press’s requirements for Word embedding indexes.

I love reading, words, systems and problem solving which makes indexing a great fit for me. Prior to indexing I studied music and art (MFA), non-profit business, and human resources. I have 15 years of experience in the arts as an executive director/administrator and 5 years in the fashion industry. I’m a life-long learner and believe an index is a powerful tool for the researcher or inquisitive reader to have at their disposal.
